Moritz Ege

Moritz Ege is Professor of Cultural Anthropology/European Ethnology at the University of Göttingen, Germany. His current research projects are about the ‘ethicisation’ of urban life and about the ambiguities of anti-elite articulations in politics and popular culture. Previously, he worked on class and ethnic dynamics in youth cultures in Berlin (“Ein Proll mit Klasse.” Mode, Popkultur und soziale Ungleichheiten unter jungen Männern in Berlin, Frankfurt am Main/New York 2013), “Afroamericanophilia” in the 1960s and 70s and the comparative history of English-language Cultural Studies and German-language Empirische Kulturwissenschaften.
