Gianluca Fantoni

Gianluca Fantoni is a Lecturer of Italian at Nottingham Trent University. He has previously worked at the University of Strathclyde where he completed a PhD thesis concerning the cinematic propaganda of the Italian Communist Party. His research interests revolve principally around the history of the Italian Left, Italian post-war cinema, and cinematic propaganda. He has published in Modern Italy; in the Journal of Contemporary History (‘After the Fall: Politics, the Public Use of History and the Historiography of the Italian Communist Party (1991 – 2011)’, Issue 4, Volume 49, October 2014); and in edited collections.
