Georgina Colby is Lecturer in Contemporary Literature at the University of Westminster. She is author of Kathy Acker: Writing the Impossible (Edinburgh University Press, 2016), and Bret Easton Ellis: Underwriting the Contemporary (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011). She has published widely on contemporary literature, in particular experimental writing, in journals such as Textual Practice, Comparative Critical Studies, Contemporary Literature, and Women: A Cultural Review. From 2012 to 2013 she was co-organiser, with the artist Anthony Luvera, of the Arts Council funded project ‘Death and the Contemporary’. She is currently working on a collection of essays, Reading Experimental Writing.
