Carlos Segovia

Carlos A. Segovia is associate professor of religious studies at Saint Louis University, Madrid Campus, and has been visiting professor in the School of Culture and Society at the University of Aarhus (Denmark) and the School of Humanities of the Free University of Brussels, and guest professor of philosophy at the University of Seville. His current research is on animism as a counterfigure of semiotic capitalism and the question of the body in Antonin Artaud’s latest writings. More broadly he works with Deleuzian and Guattarian ideas at the crossroads of religious studies, materialist thought, and contemporary philosophy. His new publication, Animism Redux: Experimental, Isomeric, Liminal, and Chaosmic – Or Stepping Back into a World without God, is forthcoming
