Marx & Engels Collected Works Vol 13
Marx and Engels:1854-1855
Volume 13 contains articles written by Marx and Engels February 1854 to February 1855. For the most part these articles were published in the New York Daily Tribune and the democratic German newspaper the Neue Oder-Zeitung. The articles deal with a broad range of contemporary socio-economic and political problems, in particular with the military conflict between Russia and Turkey which broke out in 1853 and in 1854 developed into the Crimean War, as well as with questions of the democratic and working-class movement. A considerable number of articles in this volume deal with the situation in Spain, providing an explanation of the key features of the country’s history and developing an understanding of the general problems of bourgeois revolutions.
