Marx & Engels Collected Works Vol 10

Marx and Engels:1849-1851

Jun 1978

Volume 10 covers the period between the autumn of 1849 and the summer of 1851.  During this period Marx and Engels devoted themselves mainly to drawing lessons from the European revolutions of 1848-49, studying the laws of the class struggle and working out tactics and strategy for the working class in new conditions. Alongside such major works as The Class Struggles in France, 1848 to 1850 by Marx and The Peasant War in Germany by Engels, the volume also contains works (published in English for the first time) such as an article by Marx The Campaign for the German Imperial Constitution and Reflections produced when he resumed his thematic study of political economy. The appendices include documents relating to the activity of Marx and Engels in reorganising and consolidating the League of Communists, and their struggle against sectarianism in the working-class movement.
