The
bulk of Soundings 26 is given over to our ongoing critique of neo-liberalism
and New Labour, but there is a new emphasis in many of the articles on what
our political response should be to the entrenched nature of Blairism.
Contributors include Jeremy Gilbert, Ruth Levitas, atherine Needham, Michael Rustin and Geoff Andrews. There is also a roundtable discussion on resisting neo-liberal globalisation, which looks at the connections between the global and the local.
We also include Jo Littler on meritocracy and celebrity, Jonathan Rutherford on popular resources for a public sphere, Sayeed Khan on Pakistan, and Stuart Hall on Edward Said, plus reviews, photography and poetry.
