(eds)
This
issue of New Formations is concerned with the cultural analysis of new forms
of science and technology. It elucidates contemporary and possible future
constructions of nature, the body, subjectivity and social space from a
variety of perspectives. As well as cultural studies and feminism, it is
informed by work in other areas, including medical politics and the history
of science. It also examines the hypes and hopes surrounding the network,
interactivity and artificial intelligence, cyberspace and cyborgs.
