The
story of the struggle to articulate a coherent and anti-colonial politics
through the rise of the West African Student Union is more than a simple account
of Africans in the context of British society.
It shows the dramatic effects these pioneers have had on the world stage,
particularly as leaders of liberation movements and of newly independent countries.
