The
essays in this collection focus on the need for a radical rethink of economic
policy in Northern Ireland. The central theme of the collection is that Northern
Ireland needs a regional policy based on the creation of an agglomeration
economy. This, in turn, requires the back-up of a regional institutional framework.
To create such a framework Northern Ireland needs new structures
of governance, based on further disconnection from the mainland.
