Altered
States
What do we understand by a postmodern political culture? What are the current
debates in postmodern theory, and what is their relevance to the politics
of the left? The contributors consider how the theoretical structures of postmodernism
can be used to reassess traditional positions. Altered States critically examines
the tenets of socialism, taking into account globalisation of the media, the
diversity of contemporary society, the politics of identity, and changing
city cultures.
